Modern Chemical Regulation. Practical Industry Compliance.
M8 Sustainable Chemistry supports U.S. regulatory authorities and chemical manufacturers in the design, implementation, and compliance of risk-based chemical management systems aligned with modern regulatory expectations and scientific best practices.
The Chemical Regulatory Trifecta
Effective chemical management requires understanding how regulation is written, how it is implemented, and how it impacts real-world operations. M8 Sustainable Chemistry operates across all three dimensions, government, industry, and implementation.
We serve as a bridge between regulatory policy and practical implementation, translating requirements into programs and workflows that are scientifically sound, operationally practical, and aligned with modern U.S. regulatory expectations.

With more than 30 years of global chemical regulatory and policy experience, including senior scientific and regulatory work at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Leslie MacDougall brings a rare cross-sector perspective spanning government regulatory development, global industry compliance, and independent implementation advisory.
Leslie has supported the design and operationalization of chemical management frameworks, substance registration and assessment systems, and cross-border compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions. She founded M8 Sustainable Chemistry to bridge the gap between regulatory policy, scientific risk assessment, and practical industry implementation — ensuring chemical management systems are both effective and operationally achievable.
Through M8 and its regional expansion via ChemReg W.L.L., Leslie continues to support governments, regulators, and multinational manufacturers in developing and navigating modern chemical regulatory systems aligned with international best practices.
"Sustainable chemistry isn't a trade-off — it's the most rigorous standard the industry can hold itself to."
